"When Maggie hung up, she went to the porch and sat. She did
her best thinking while on that bench. Maybe we should not abandon ship every
time we encounter a storm in our life. A smooth sea never made a good sailor.
One thing was certain. When Maggie came out of the storm, she was not the same
person who walked in. That is the beauty of a storm."
Storms can be frightening and yet beautiful at the same
time- the way lightening cuts the sky, the rumble of the earth in thunder, the
rain that cleanses the canals and marsh and if we are lucky the rainbow as a
prize at the end. Stay strong. Focus on what you can do, not what you cannot
do, and know that the clouds will soon part, and the sun will return again.
